Career and Ministry Development
At Judson College, we train students biblically, theologically, and professionally to give their lives for the cause of Christ in the church, among the nations, and in every aspect of society. We believe this holistic approach uniquely equips our students to pursue their calling and leverage their future careers and ministries to flourish beyond college as they advance Christ’s kingdom.
To make the transition from college to career as seamless as possible, we equip students with essential foundations and skills in the classroom, with opportunities for employment and formation around campus, and with connections for career and ministry placement beyond our campus.
We know the transition from college to career can be a challenge. That’s why we strategically equip our students with the professional and ministerial skills and opportunities they need to flourish beyond college wherever God calls them.
Classroom Preparation
In Vocation and Calling, one of our students’ freshman-year courses, we help them discern and pursue the unique ministry or career God is calling them to. Then, through a robust General Studies core curriculum, we equip them with the foundations and categories they need to flourish — with courses ranging from the Great Books, philosophy, and English composition to Christian ethics and Christian missions. As students progress in their degree plan, major courses offer practical training from professors experienced in their field of study.
Community Connections and Advising
Through organic relationships with professors and fellow students around campus, our students are developing their networks and making lasting ministerial and professional connections. To guide students toward their ministry or career, our Center for Great Commission Studies also offers free advising sessions (GO Meetings) to help students discover and pursue their Great Commission pathway.
On-Campus Employment
As God brings students to our campus, we want to see them biblically, theologically, and professionally equipped to serve Christ with excellence wherever he calls them. We are delighted to employee hundreds of students on campus who gain invaluable professional experience in a familiar environment with a healthy work culture and a commitment to their personal development.
Off-Campus Employment
We want to connect students with employers and help our graduates find career and ministry positions that suit their training. Through our annual job fair (featuring local employers) and through our job and ministry portal (Worker Springs), we make sure students have access to employment opportunities close to home and around the world.
Alumni Association and Resources
Our graduates are answering God’s call to give their lives for the cause of Christ in the church, among the nations, and in every aspect of society. As Judson College alumni, they have been equipped to think and live biblically, to discern their calling, and to leverage their ministry or career to make disciples wherever God calls them. Our alumni are serving as pastors, church planters, missionaries, teachers, writers, counselors, business professionals, and much more — all with a common mission to advance the cause of Christ.
Strategically Situated for Opportunities
Judson College is uniquely situated just north of the Research Triangle Region of North Carolina. The Triangle area is North Carolina’s global innovation center. Its 7,000 acres house hundreds of companies, including science and technology firms, government agencies, academic institutions, startups and nonprofits that allows our Graduates abundant opportunities for connections.
In addition, the Triangle area is not only home to 28 unreached people groups but also five of the top ten missionary-sending churches with the International Mission Board, making this area an ideal place to gain ministry experience. The College also has strong connections with non-profit and parachurch ministries in the area, offering students access to a wide range of ministry internships and outreach opportunities.
