Southeastern Seminary and Judson College are excited to announce Craig Williams’s appointment to the faculty and to welcome him and his family to the Southeastern community. Williams is serving as professor of business in The College and has been made coordinator for business programs.
“Craig Williams is an incredible addition to the faculty that further enhances our BBA program,” said Ryan Hutchinson, executive vice president for operations. “Dr. Williams’s resume brings both significant field experience in the workplace and academic experience in the classroom. As we seek to build a Great Commission- saturated BBA program, Dr. Williams offers an important perspective on wedding faith with business acumen.”
Williams comes to Southeastern with 11 years of teaching experience at East Carolina University’s College of Business. In addition, he also possesses a wealth of experience in business administration from his own 30-year corporate career, which includes expertise in management and human resources.
Williams received his master’s from East Carolina University in 1983 and his PhD from NC State University in 1990 — both in industrial and organizational psychology.
In 2010, Williams decided to pursue a Master of Arts in Christian Studies at Southeastern. Following his graduation, he attended some of the Faith and Work events hosted annually at the seminary.
“These experiences provided me the opportunity to meet Dr. Harry Carter and Dr. Scott Pace,” Williams said. “Discussions about the new business program with these gentlemen eventually led to my present role with Southeastern.”
Williams will be teaching a number of courses in The College, including organizational management, human resource management, and intro to psychology. He is excited for the opportunity to integrate the Christian faith into the classroom as he equips students to fulfill God’s calling in their lives.
“Every day in class,” Williams shared, “I can focus on the broader goal of preparing students to be exceptional Christian business leaders serving in one of the largest mission fields — the workplace.”

Southeastern Provost Scott Pace expressed his excitement at Williams joining the faculty, stating, “I’m amazed at God’s providential kindness in bringing Dr. Craig Williams to serve at Southeastern.”
“Dr. Williams brings a wealth of professional experience from the corporate world, years as a business professor in a university setting, and a graduate degree from our seminary that will all blend together into an unparalleled learning experience for our students,” Pace said. “His love for the church and Christ’s mission, along with his extensive credentials, will teach students how to deepen their faith as they leverage their lives for Christ in the marketplace.”
