Military Affairs
“Discipling, training and caring for our military community is incredibly strategic for long-term, global Gospel impact. These are men and women who are being sent by our nation’s military into communities all over the globe. Our hope is to build a welcoming, strategic and caring community for our military men and women who are training for chaplaincy, on active duty anywhere in the world, serving in our reserve corps or transitioning out of the military.”
-Dr. Mark Liederbach, Dean of Students
Veteran’s Benefits at Southeastern
Judson College accepts and processes the following benefits:
Benefits Application Process
- Have an initial consultation with the Government/Military Financial Aid Assistant at Southeastern.
- Complete the application for your Certificate of Eligibility. In order to gain veteran benefits at Southeastern, you will need to apply for a Certificate of Eligibility through the G.I. Bill.
- Email [email protected] to inquire on how to submit your Certificate of eligibility (please note that only accepted students with a Student ID will be able to submit their Certificate of Eligibility).
- Complete our Military Financial Aid Request Form (this form must be completed each semester a student wants to use benefits at Judson).
If you are new to using benefits, please see Southeastern’s Policy on Delayed Payment for Students with VA Benefits.
Military Discount Rate
To qualify for the Military Discount Rate, a student must be an active-duty, honorably-discharged or other than dishonorably-discharged veteran of the U.S. Armed Forces. Students receiving the Southern Baptist tuition rate are ineligible for the military tuition rate and vice versa. The Military discount rate and Southern Baptist tuition rate are equivalent. To apply, please reach out to [email protected] for access to the form.
Southeastern does not accept federal Tuition Assistance (TA). This will not affect GI Bill benefits, which are processed through the Department of Veteran Affairs (VA).
