Partnerships

Through study and preparation for service, our students are equipped to make a lasting impact by transforming individual lives both in and out of the prison systems. This is only possible through our partnership with key stakeholders like the North Carolina Department of Adult Corrections, Game Plan for Life, North Carolina Baptists, Florida Department of Corrections, and others.

Educating Students

We offer fully accredited, four-year, 127-hour Bachelor of Arts degrees to incarcerated populations at the Nash County Extension Center within Nash Correctional Institution, the Wake County Extension Center at the North Carolina Correctional Institution for Women, and the Marion County Extension Center at Lowell Correctional Institution. These are the same degrees and requirements offered on the main campus of Judson College at Southeastern in Wake Forest, NC.

Deploying Graduates

To date, Judson College has deployed 50+ men as Field Ministers to more than a dozen prisons in North Carolina. Each year, this number increases as additional cohorts graduate from the program and are deployed. The first two women’s cohorts, just shy of 40 total students, will graduate and deploy in 2027 and 2028.

Field Ministers serve in many capacities and are uniquely equipped to reach places and contexts that others cannot with the hope of the gospel, which can transform the prison culture from the inside out.
