Biography

I am a teacher, language-lover, runner, dad and granddad. I was born in Honolulu and raised in Kailua, Hawaii. In 1975, I got my BA in Biblical Studies at Biola, California. There, I also graduated with my MDiv in 1980 in New Testament and Greek. I then moved to Switzerland to receive my Doctor of Theology degree in 1983 at the University of Basel. Now I live and work on a farm in Virginia and commute to Southeastern Baptist Theological Seminary where I have been teaching Greek and New Testament since 1998.
