Biography
John Hammett is Senior Professor of Systematic Theology at Southeastern Baptist Theological Seminary, where he has taught since 1995. Prior to that he was a pastor for nine years in North Carolina, Kentucky and Indiana, and a missionary with the International Mission Board at the South Brazil Baptist Theological Seminary in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil. He is the author of several books including Biblical Foundations for Baptist Churches and 40 Questions About Baptism and the Lord’s Supper and is co-author of The Doctrine of Humanity: The Divine Design. He is married to his wife Linda and has two adult children and one granddaughter.
